ESG

  • Biox is committed to creating employment in disadvantaged areas, driving measurable environmental outcomes through the diversion of agricultural waste from vulnerable zones, and the reintroduction of recycled waste into fragile environments.

  • We are committed to hiring and maintaining a balanced team across gender, religion, and race. We champion diverse talent pools, equitable pay structures, and bias-free hiring practices to build an inclusive workforce.

  • BioX rigorously implements circular economic principles by using biogas as an energy source, thereby reducing environmental impact, promoting sustainability, and meeting CSR goals.

  • Each biomethane plant in the BioX portfolio reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil natural gas.

  • BioX plants portfolio climate impact breaks down in a few ways:

    • Biogenic CO2 Capture: prevents new fossil-based carbon from being used in industrial applications, food/beverage production, or greenhouses. This process actively removes existing carbon from the atmosphere.

    • Methane Avoidance: by capturing and destroying methane (a greenhouse gas 28+ times more potent than CO2) that would have otherwise leaked from organic waste decaying naturally

    • Displacing Fossil Fuels: The biomethane injected into the grid replaces natural gas, providing further greenhouse gas savings

GIVING BACK

  • Both BioX and individual staff donate to schools, widows, orphans, first responders, participate in fundraising campaigns for a variety of good causes, as well as Unicef and their clean water, education, and medical projects for children in La Guajira, Colombia.

  • In partnership with Switch Engineering, BioX supports the education and training for operating biomethane plants of unemployed youth from disadvantaged areas in Italy.

  • In partnership with Erilon Srl, a cow barn construction and operations company focused on animal welfare, BioX procures, supports, and promotes equipment that benefits cows in BioX plants.

PROJECTS

2008 | Philippines

  • Permitted and developed one of the world’s pioneering landfill biogas projects in Manila.

  • Structured under the Kyoto Protocol’s Carbon Emission Reduction (CER) Programme, creating one of the country’s earliest waste-to-energy carbon credit projects.

2017–2019 | Denmark

  • Acquired, built, and sold Europe’s two largest biomethane plants.

  • Structured and executed the investment, managed the EPC tender process, assembled the local management team, and advanced the projects through development.

  • Successfully exited the assets to institutional investors upon Commercial Operation Date (CoD).

2023–Present | Italy

  • Established a substantial local management platform that was responsible for originating acquisitions, overseeing development and construction, securing feedstock supply, and managing plant operations.

  • Brought a capital partner and formed a joint venture that acquired the pre-identified target pipeline

  • Identified and apppointed the EPC contractor that is currently building the plants.

  • Currently forming a JV to acquire and build a new portfolio of biomethane plants across Italy.
